Keep in mind that there is no universal standard for medical care, and that it varies by country. Quality may be hit or miss, from facility to facility, as well as the care that medical equipment receives, or qualification of the staff. Certification process for doctors or staff may be non-existent.
Remember also that whatever medical tour package you choose, it is compatible with the procedure that you are undertaking. Your body may not be ready for strenuous activity, so take that into equation when planning the “vacation” portion of the medical tour. Things such as climate, transportation available, quality of food, etc., have also to be figured into the equation. You’re best limiting yourself to sightseeing activities in a non-strenuous environment.
In short, keep these risks and potential costs in mind and don’t be fixated on the cost of potential surgery overseas. The results, if not planned carefully, may end up costing you more than you bargained for.
