Think You Know More Than A Caveman About Food? Think Again.

Ever wondered why it seems like older generations where able to live longer and appear healthier than current generations? Doesn’t it seem like there’s an epidemic of diseases, such as high-cholesterol, heart-disease, obesity, and other diet-related problems?

You could, for example, eat lean meat, along with fresh vegetables, and fruit for dessert. This type of food is not different to what a caveman would’ve eaten. But if you add pasta, or bread for example, now you are adding things not normally found in nature, since they did not exist. Adding pasta or bread makes our diet less healthy.

2- What kind of beverage was preferred by cavemen? I’ll give you a hint: It was something that they could find plenty of in nature. What is that? Water, of course!

Water is essential to any diet, and we don’t drink nearly enough of it. Lac of water i our diet causes constipation, headaches, hunger, among other things, which would be resolved by adding plenty of water to our diet. Drink plenty of water to help start losing weight.

3- Another essential part of the caveman’s life was physical activity. While this is not directly related to dieting itself, being active makes the fat loss process much quicker and effective.

Imagine how crazy the caveman would thin we were if we asked him to go sit down in an office for 8 hours, then come back home and sit for the rest of the night until bed time! Anything that helps you stay active, whether going for a light walk around the building during lunchtime, or taking the stairs instead of the elevator, will help. Every little bit of activity does add up!
